Gaudí in Barcelona: a route through his houses
Barcelona has more Gaudí than one day can cover. Three houses make a good core: Casa Batlló at Passeig de Gràcia 43, Casa Milà at number 92 on the same avenue, and Casa Vicens in Gràcia at Carrer de les Carolines 20 to 26. The route below is a planning suggestion, not a packaged tour, and the total time depends on how many interiors you enter.
2026 is a Gaudí year. 10 June marked the 100th anniversary of his death, and the city lists the year as Any Gaudí. Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Casa Vicens, Palau Güell and the crypt of the Colònia Güell belong to the UNESCO group Works of Antoni Gaudí. Bellesguard is not part of it.

Our picks: Gaudí tours in Barcelona
Our take: the full day with three houses and the Sagrada Família is the most complete; the complete Gaudí tour covers Casa Batlló and the basilica in less time. The walking tour shows the houses from outside for a small budget.

For most first-time visitors with one or two days: Casa Batlló and Casa Milà on the Passeig de Gràcia, then Casa Vicens. Add Palau Güell if you want a third interior in a different part of the city. Bellesguard and the Colònia Güell suit a second visit, because both need their own trip.
How to build the days
Opening days and times are the 2026 ones.
One day on the Passeig de Gràcia
Casa Batlló and Casa Milà stand on the same avenue, and each needs its own ticket and time slot. If you can only choose one, the comparison page sets out the differences.
Casa Batlló or Casa Milà →Add Casa Vicens
The guided visits run in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Chinese and Japanese, for up to 12 people. There is no German guided visit. The self-guided visit uses a smartphone audio guide in 16 languages. April to October the house opens 09:30 to 20:00, November to March 09:30 to 18:00, and it is closed on 25 December and from 7 to 14 January.
More Gaudí buildings →Palau Güell
It lies outside the Eixample. Children up to and including 12 enter free, and the Mini rate of €5 covers students and ages 13 to 18. It is closed on Mondays that are not public holidays, on 1 and 6 January, in the fourth week of January and on 25 and 26 December.
Bellesguard and the Colònia Güell
Bellesguard opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00, with last entry at 14:00. You reach it by the FGC line L7 to Av. Tibidabo and then bus 196. The Colònia Güell opens Monday to Friday 10:00 to 17:00 and on weekends and holidays 10:00 to 15:00. Trains S3, S4, S8 and S9 leave from Plaça Espanya and take 20 to 25 minutes.
Guided or on your own?
The standard Casa Batlló visit is self-guided. The audio guide is included and comes in 15 languages, German among them. It is not a tour with a guide walking beside you. At Casa Milà the Essential ticket includes a video guide in 11 languages including German. The Night Experience there is guided, in Catalan, Spanish, English and Chinese.
Casa Vicens is the one house where a live guide is a regular product. For tours sold by other companies, check three things: whether admission is part of the price, whether the guide goes inside the building, and which language the tour is held in. A tour title alone does not answer any of them.

Sagrada Família and Park Güell
The two best-known Gaudí sites have their own guide. The Gaudí in Barcelona guide covers the wider map, including the Park Güell. In 2026 the exterior of the central tower of the Sagrada Família was finished at 172.5 m, with interior work named for 2027 and 2028. That does not mean the basilica is complete.

Gaudí tour in Barcelona: frequently asked questions
How many days do I need for a Gaudí tour?
Casa Batlló takes about 75 minutes, Casa Milà about 90 and the guided Casa Vicens visit 60 to 75, before travel time. Many visitors fit the two Passeig houses and Casa Vicens into one long day. The total depends on your pace.
Is there one ticket for all the Gaudí houses?
Each house sells its own ticket. A combined offer can exist as part of a tour, so check what it includes and compare the total with separate tickets.
Which houses offer German?
The Casa Batlló audio guide includes German, as does the Casa Milà video guide. The guided Casa Vicens visit lists Spanish, English, French, Italian, Chinese and Japanese, not German.
Does a guided tour include the entry tickets?
Not necessarily. Read the description of each tour to see whether admission is part of the price.
Is this the official website of Casa Batlló or Gaudí's houses?
No. This is an independent travel guide. It is not run by Casa Batlló, its owners, a ticket seller or a tour company.
Where do I find the Sagrada Família?
It has its own guide, linked above, with tickets, towers and opening hours.
