Around Casa Batlló in the Eixample
Casa Batlló stands at Passeig de Gràcia 43, in the district of the Eixample. Most ideas below are on the same boulevard, on the parallel Rambla de Catalunya or a few streets away. The last two, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Recinte Modernista Sant Pau, are longer detours rather than next-door stops. Walking times are not given here because they depend on your pace and on where you start.
Plan around your timed ticket. Casa Batlló asks you not to enter before the booked time, with a 15-minute window after it. Book your slot first, then fill the time around it. For the ticket options see Casa Batlló tickets. For the wider city, including Sagrada Família and Park Güell, see things to do in Barcelona.

Next door on the Passeig de Gràcia
The Block of Discord (Illa de la Discòrdia) and Casa Milà.
1. Casa Amatller
Next door at Passeig de Gràcia 41, by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. You can visit the noble floor with an audio guide (€21 online, €22 at the box office, about 45 minutes, daily 10:00 to 19:00 every 30 minutes) or with a live guide (€23 online, €24 at the box office, 1 hour, in Spanish, Catalan and English). Reduced and youth prices apply. The audio guide includes German. Ages for free entry and youth prices vary by offer, so check your child's age before you book.
The Passeig de Gràcia →2. Casa Lleó Morera
A work by Lluís Domènech i Montaner in the same block. Enjoy it as architecture from the street. Do not plan an interior visit around it, and check the current situation before you go.
3. Casa Mulleras and Casa Josefina Bonet
Two more houses of the block, by Enric Sagnier and Marcel·lí Coquillat. They complete the row of different Modernisme styles. Treat them as exteriors.
4. Casa Milà
The second Gaudí house on the same boulevard, at Passeig de Gràcia 92, with its own ticket. The Essential ticket costs from €29 for adults in 2026. Read the Casa Milà guide for the roof and the night visit, or compare the two in Casa Batlló or Casa Milà.

6. Plaça de Catalunya
The square that connects the Eixample with the old town. It is a good starting or ending point for a walk, and a useful landmark if you arrive by Aerobús. Bigger city plans belong in our sister guide to Barcelona.
7. Museu Tàpies
The museum of the artist Antoni Tàpies is at Carrer d'Aragó 255. It is closed for building work for about three months in autumn and winter 2026/27, and some events take place elsewhere. Do not plan a normal visit before it reopens, and check the museum's calendar first.
8. Mercat de la Concepció
A neighbourhood market at Carrer d'Aragó 311 bis. Check current stall hours and holiday closings on the day, since they vary.
9. Casa Thomas
A Modernisme building on Carrer de Mallorca, designed by Domènech i Montaner and later raised by extra floors. It is not a work by Gaudí.
10. Casa Comalat
Built by Salvador Valeri i Pupurull between 1909 and 1911, with different facades on Diagonal and Carrer de Rosselló and a lot of coloured ceramics. The influence of Gaudí is visible, but he did not build it.
Two longer detours
Modernisme beyond the Eixample.
11. Palau de la Música Catalana
A detour into Ciutat Vella at Carrer del Palau de la Música 4–6. A self-guided visit costs €20 and a guided visit €24, and the box office adds €2. A concert ticket is separate.
12. Recinte Modernista Sant Pau
A larger architecture stop. It opens 09:30 to 18:30 from April to October and until 17:00 from November to March, with last entry 30 minutes before closing, and closes on 25 December. A self-guided visit costs €18 until 14:00 and €17 after that.
